About Me.
I’m a design leader with 30 years in digital products, 10 of which in healthcare, medical devices, and recently AI.
I’ve managed and mentored teams of 5 to 15 designers in different contexts and companies.
I’m currently Acting Design Director at Rune Labs, where I helped redesign StrivePD for Parkinson’s care, and launched a cross-platform design system.
Previously:
- Clarivate DRG Fusion (freelance): redesigned data-visualization workflows for US disease-prevalence and treatment analytics. High-complexity, high pressure project.
- Impossible: six years as Lead Designer, later Design Director, notable client: Roche Diagnostics — multiple high-complexity projects, including FDA-cleared digital-pathology slide scanner & data research platforms.
- 12 years at Portugal’s oldest and largest web property, SAPO. Did everything from web, to multi-platform apps, to branding, to events, as well as team building, mentoring and direction.
- Founded and ran boutique design company, in the early days of the web, one of the first in Portugal.
